About Us
Early January of 2004 gave birth to the new Hot Springs Landlords
Association. After a coffee shop visit by a couple of local landlords, it
was decided that there was a serious need for a concerted effort to help
keep all landlords better informed; not only about daily business
practices and solutions to everyday problems we each experience, but
also, information from federal, state and local legislative bodies.
Often, upcoming legislation affecting our business operations in
lease/rental properties and real estate in general was learned about
after action was taken on it and we felt that we should have an
organization capable and willing to give input to this process prior to
enactment. In telephoning other landlords about the plans it was
discovered that there was an overwhelming majority in total agreement.
We have since taken a slow, methodical approach to organizing this
group and setting up our goals and ambitions to help keep each Member
informed, and to put forth a concerted effort to improve the condition of
rental properties, not only increasing individual property values but
also enhancing the overall property values in the neighborhoods in which
these properties are located.
